The heritage listed Culvert is on the southern approach to the 1.7km Woy Woy Tunnel, both the Tunnel and the Culvert were built in 1880's. I was lucky, it was low tide, the Culvert floods during high tide and I was able to walk through without getting wet feet. The Culvert was built to allow the main North Line to cross Mullet Creek A little further south along the line is the Wondabyne railway station, the only station in Australia that doesn't have road access. The station is mostly used bush walkers to access this section of the The Great North walk .
Mt Wondabyne is the highest point in the Brisbane Waters National Park , hardly a mountain at 251 metres, there are excellent views in all directions.
